It's been another busy week with a further three new clients in the Crowthorne area all looking for computer support.
It seems Crowthorne has been hit by a spate of viruses - I'm sure not only Crowthorne is affected but maybe it's become more unlucky than the rest of the area. Also had a couple of calls from Bracknell and Sandhurst, again lots of spyware - and a couple of viruses.
Wireless networking was also high on the hit list in the past week - several sites with existing wireless networks but no encryption - a hackers' dream. All are now secured with the end-user sites equipped with a flash memory key containing all the encryption details (just so that they never forget).
I did another test drive from Crowthorne to Sandhurst - and came across 146 wireless networks - with 72 having no protection at all !!!! When will these people learn !!!
